Terms of Service

1. These terms

These terms are an agreement between you and VerifiedHive, an Ohio business ("VerifiedHive", "we", "us"). They apply whenever you use verifiedhive.com or the VerifiedHive app. By creating an account or ordering a launch, you accept them, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.

When you approve a release, you also sign a short publication agreement for that release. It's part of these terms.

If you use VerifiedHive for a business, you accept these terms for that business and confirm you're allowed to. You must be at least 18.

2. What VerifiedHive does

VerifiedHive writes press releases about new products, services and companies from the details you give us. We publish each release on a launch page at verifiedhive.com and, on paid plans, send it to news sites through our distribution partner. Every business that launches also gets a free business page.

The website and the app show each plan, what it includes and its price before you pay. We may change, add or stop features over time, but we won't take away anything you've already paid for.

3. Your account

• Give us true details, and keep them up to date.
• Keep your password private. You're responsible for what's done in your account, so tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
• We may put an account on hold, or close it, if it breaks these terms, to stop fraud or abuse, or when the law requires it. An account on hold can still reach Help, so you can ask us about it.

4. Your content and the rights you give us

You keep ownership of everything you give us: text, images, logos, links and quotes ("your content").

You give VerifiedHive permission to use, copy, edit, publish and send your content, and the releases made from it, so we can provide the service: on launch pages and your business page, to news sites, in your reports and in search results. We edit only for length, clarity and the rules of the news network, and you see and approve the final text before anything is published. This permission lasts while we host your content, and, for a release already sent to news sites, for as long as those sites keep it.

For every release, you promise that:

• you're allowed to publish it for the business it names;
• everything in it is true and not misleading, and you can back up its claims;
• you have the rights to its text, images and links, and it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights;
• the person quoted approved the quote, word for word.

5. What we don't publish

You may not use VerifiedHive for, and we don't publish:

• anything illegal, or products and services that are illegal where they're offered;
• false, misleading or unsupported claims, including health, medical, financial and earnings claims;
• investment offers, cryptocurrency or token sales, gambling, or get-rich-quick and pyramid schemes;
• adult or sexual content, weapons, or illegal drugs;
• hate, harassment or threats, or attacks on a person, a group or a competitor;
• another person's private information, or content about someone without the right to publish it;
• spam, or releases written mainly to sell links or game search rankings;
• pretending to be another person or a business you don't represent.

We review every release before it's sent. We may ask you to change it, decline it (with a full refund, as our Refund Policy says), or take down a launch page or business page that breaks these rules. Our distribution partner and each news site have rules of their own and may refuse a release we accepted.

6. Publication and results

• Each news site decides whether to publish your release, how long to keep it online and how to tag its links. Publication on any particular site isn't guaranteed, except as our Refund Policy describes, and your report shows every site that published it.
• We don't promise any amount of traffic, sales, coverage or search ranking.
• A published release can't be edited, and it can't be taken back from news sites that have published it.
• Your launch page stays on verifiedhive.com until you ask us to take it down, and we take it down when you ask.

7. Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars. You pay in advance, at checkout, through Stripe. If any tax applies, checkout shows it before you pay. If a payment fails or is reversed, we may stop the launch it paid for. Refunds follow our Refund Policy.

8. Free launch pages and business pages

The free Launch Page plan includes one launch a month. We may limit free use to prevent abuse, and may remove free pages that break these terms or exist only to place links.

9. Using VerifiedHive fairly

VerifiedHive owns the website, the app and the software, design and brand behind them. Please don't copy, scrape or resell them, try to break, overload or get around their limits or security, or use VerifiedHive to send spam. You're welcome to share your launch pages and to show on your own website the badge we give you, which links to your published release.

10. Other companies' services

Stripe, our distribution partner, news sites and other services we link to are run by other companies under their own terms. We aren't responsible for what they do or for what news sites publish next to your release.

11. No warranties

VerifiedHive is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we give no warranties beyond the promises in these terms, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We work to keep VerifiedHive running well, but can't promise it will always be available or free of errors.

12. Limits on our liability

As far as the law allows, VerifiedHive isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, sales, data or goodwill. Our total liability for all claims about VerifiedHive is limited to the greater of $100 and the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

13. Claims about your content

If someone makes a claim against VerifiedHive because of your content, or because you broke these terms or the law, you'll cover the reasonable costs of dealing with it, including legal fees, and any amount we have to pay because of it.

14. Closing your account

You can stop using VerifiedHive at any time and ask us to delete your account, as our Privacy Policy explains. We may close accounts that break these terms. Your promises about your content, amounts you owe, the limits on our liability, the section on claims about your content and the section on disputes keep applying after an account is closed.

15. Disputes and the law that applies

The laws of the State of Ohio govern these terms, without regard to rules that would apply another place's law. If something goes wrong, please contact us first, and we'll try to put it right. Any lawsuit about VerifiedHive must be brought in the state or federal courts in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, and you and VerifiedHive agree to those courts, except that either of us may bring a claim in small claims court instead.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page, and for changes that matter to you, we email you before they take effect. A release is covered by the terms and the publication agreement in place when you approved it.
